Edusat Network was established in Madhya Pradesh Forest Department in January 2008 with support of ISRO. The main objective of the establishment of Edusat in MPFD is to increase efficiency of forest officers, employees, and dwellers through online training and discussion.

In all 52 Satellite Interactive Terminals (SITs) have been made at National Parks, Forest Schools and Eco centers throughout the state for provide Edusat facilities to 27000 forest employees and forest communities. These SITs are directly connected to forest Edusat Studio situated at Khel Pasrisar, 74 Banglow at Bhopal.
 
The Edusat Programme is coordinated by Information Technology and Human Resource Development Wings of the MPFD Headquarter at Bhopal. Various trainings are imparted to employees, guide trainees, forest community members, forest guard trainees and forest dwellers by the experts on different subjects.
